Brought to Glory!
This Sunday, we celebrate the entry of Mary, the Mother of the Lord, into heavenly glory, often called her Dormition (‘Falling Asleep’) or her Assumption (‘Being caught up into Heaven’).
This reminds us that Our Lady was brought to glory through the redemptive Death and Resurrection of her Son, who is her Lord and ours. She points the way to and encourages us to trust in the ‘sure and certain hope’ that we too shall share in Christ’s Gift of Eternal Life and the joys of Heaven, with Him, with her, with all the Saints for ever.
