Around the walls of the church hang 14 artistic reliefs of the Stations of the Cross – these depict key moments in the trial, condemnation, passion and crucifixion of Jesus. During Lent, and at other times, a particular devotion of prayer, scripture reading and meditation is performed physically walking around the Church and stopping at each station. In essence we ‘walk with Christ’ to the point of his death, share his suffering and reflect inwardly on our lives and actions as we do so.
