COMMUNITY FAITH SPACE PRESENTATION FOR REMEMBRANCE-TIDE 2019
On Sunday 10 November at 10am we celebrate a Mass of Peace with prayers for all caught up in conflict, war and their aftermath, at the end of which we make an Act of Remembrance before Our Lady and in solidarity with all who pause, who remember, who reflect this weekend.
Our Community Faith Space is offered as a focus for the thoughts, musings and prayers of all who pass by on Heather Road (and for you reading this) over the coming Remembrance Weekend.
Here is a prayer you may like to use:
O God of truth and justice, we hold before you those whose memory
we cherish, and those whose names we will never know.
Help us to lift our eyes above the torment of this broken world,
and grant us the grace to pray for those who wish us harm.
As we honour the past, may we put our faith in your future;
for you are the source of life and hope, now and for ever.
Amen
