Fr Richard Pain was consecrated as Bishop by the Holy Spirit on 21st September at Llandaff Cathedral. Please continue to pray for him ahead of his installation as Bishop of Monmouth in October.
Heavenly Father, you shepherd your people
and by your Holy Spirit make us one in Christ.
Bless Richard our Bishop that,
with wisdom, truth and love,
he may foster renewal
of vision, faith and mission in this Diocese
and be a focus of unity in parish, clergy, people and community.Sustain him with the loving care of Jesus,
that he may sense and share
your strength in weakness,
know and minister your power to heal and console and, by the Spirit’s grace,
restore and reconcile us to you
and to one another in the mystical Body of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
